NOVASEPTIC AB NÖDINGE

Leif Skoog, Visual Artist

NovAseptic provides a range of innovative solutions for biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and was in a process of rapid growth at the time of their involvement in the AIRIS enterprise. The main challenge for the company, during these times of substantial expansion, was how to conserve the qualities that come with being a small company. Leif Skoog, visual artist, assumed a leading position in this transformation process, and inspired the staff to make a short film, which was to be called Our Company´s Soul.

ASPEN PETROLEUM AB HINDÅS

Veera Suvalo Grimberg, Dancer / Choreographer

Aspen Petroleum specializes in green pet¬roleum products, employing just about forty people. Dancer and choreographer Veera Suvalo Grimberg contributed - among other things - to new perspectives on daily work routines on the production level, aswell as on the administrative level of the company. She set the spark for increased everyday smalltalk, and even debates in the canteen, using short films and dance performances as means. She also partici¬pated in trade fairs, inaugurations, and staff parties. Noticable changes that came along with this AIRIS-project were spotlighting the individuality underlying the professional roles of the staff, and improving in-house communication.

ASTRAZENECA R&D MÖLNDAL

Anna Persson, Visual Artist

Anna Persson, visual artist, participated at the Department of Clinical Research at AstraZeneca, a section that underwent extensive change during the project period. This hectic time saw many challenges and diverting views. To deal with this, Anna decided to arrange a series of workshops in which the staff was inspired to interpret and embody the core values of the com¬pany. This was done by creating silhouet¬tes for each of these core values, where the staff posed in front of a bright light back-dropped onto a white screen, which was simultaneously photographed. These photographs, in turn, were transplaced onto large sheets of glass, which were suspended on strategic places throughout the newly constructed company building. This AIRIS-project gave the employees many valuable insights into new ways of thinking, and forged this large group (about 700 people) into coherence through the sheer joy of free experimenting, something these highly educated employees had rarely had the opportunity of doing beforehand.

BOSTADSBOLAGET AB GÖTEBORG

Petra Reveue, Playwright

Petra Revenue worked with a maintenance unit of a huge housing company divided into eleven different sections spreading the city. The purpose of this AIRIS-project was to put the people behind the cleaning carts into the limelight, and as it turned out, even literally doing so. Collaborating with the maintenance staff Petra Revenue set up a performance that was both a play and a fa¬shion show, merging purpose and objective into one.

THE ADMINISTRATION OF ADULT EDUCATION FALKÖPING

Anna Eriksson, Composer

The process of uniting various sections of the Administration of Adult Education left in its wake great worry and insecurity among the staff. Composer Anna Eriksson decided, after monitoring the needs of the staff, to iniate a joint venture where the group were to build a resting room with musical under¬tones. Since speaking is an integral part of ordinary work, voice exercises were done in conjunction with a series of lectures on musical history that were accompanied by live music. Anna Eriksson’s work also featured well appreciated concerts, given by the staff at conferences initiated by the Administration.

VOLVO TECHNOLOGY AB GÖTEBORG

Jesper Norda, Aural Artist

Jesper Norda worked with behavioural scientists and technicians and developed new warning signals for use in automobile environments. In other words, he brought art right into the middle of the production line. “Jesper’s competence and communi¬cations skills proved extremely useful to us, precisely because he covered some areas of which we had no previous knowledge”, said Bodil Karlsson, Volvo.
